Boston Bruins consider extension for Czech centre Pavel Zacha as trade offers emerge

Czech centre Pavel Zacha posted a career‑best season for the Boston Bruins, recording 30 goals and 35 assists in 78 games despite seeing his ice time drop by more than two minutes per match.

He is entering the final year of his current contract, which expires in the summer of 2027, making him eligible to sign an extension on July 1. General manager Don Sweeney said re‑signing Zacha is Boston’s top priority, but the club is also fielding inquiries from other teams.

Analysts project a five‑year deal worth just over $7.3 million per season, slightly below teammate Elias Lindholm’s $7.75 million average. While the Bruins have not ruled out a trade, no deal materialised during the summer.
