Boston Bruins secure fifth consecutive victory over Los Angeles Kings

The Boston Bruins defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 on Saturday night, marking their fifth straight win and completing a sweep of California teams during their Western road trip. Marat Khusnutdinov scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, while David Pastrnak tied the game in the second. Pastrnak’s goal also tied him with Phil Esposito for third-most even-strength goals in franchise history.

The victory comes amid significant lineup adjustments. Forward Pavel Zacha is currently day-to-day with an upper-body injury sustained during a previous game against the Anaheim Ducks. In his absence, young players like Fraser Minten and Matt Poitras have taken on increased roles.

Additionally, defenseman Nikita Zadorov was a healthy scratch for the Los Angeles game. Head coach Marco Sturm cited a lack of discipline following a double penalty involving Zadorov in a recent matchup against the Ducks. The Bruins are scheduled to play the Dallas Stars next on Tuesday.
