Boston Bruins face contract uncertainty with Pavel Zacha

The Boston Bruins are currently navigating contract negotiations with center Pavel Zacha, who is entering the final year of his deal. While the organization expressed a desire to re-sign the 29-year-old following a career-best 30-goal season, finding an agreement on salary has proven difficult. If an extension is not reached, Zacha could potentially become available for trade as a top-six center, with potential suitors including the Buffalo Sabres and Vegas Golden Knights.

In other team news, Matt Poitras has begun skating with the Bruins' main group as he recovers from a lower-body injury, though his return to the lineup remains uncertain. Additionally, the Providence Bruins have named defenseman Billy Sweezey as the 28th captain in the franchise's history.
