Boston Bruins place Mikey Eyssimont on waivers

The Boston Bruins have made their first roster transaction of the 2026-27 season, placing forward Mikey Eyssimont on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to Providence. Eyssimont, a 30-year-old free agent who joined the team in July 2025, has been a healthy scratch for the Bruins' first three games of the season.

The move potentially clears space for forward Matt Poitras to return to the lineup. Poitras has been on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury sustained during training camp. While Poitras has returned to practice, head coach Marco Sturm indicated he would likely require more practice time before returning to game action.
