Boston Bruins sign Matt Poitras to one-year contract extension

The Boston Bruins have signed forward Matt Poitras to a one-year, two-way contract extension worth $850,000. The 22-year-old, a second-round pick from the 2022 NHL Draft, will now compete for a roster spot as the team begins training camp.

Poitras spent the majority of the 2025-26 season with the Providence Bruins in the AHL, where he recorded 44 points in 69 games. During his career with the Bruins organization, he has appeared in 69 NHL games, totaling 27 points.
