Boston Celtics undergo major roster overhaul following Jaylen Brown departure

The Boston Celtics enter the 2026-27 NBA season following a period of significant transition. After a disappointing playoff exit against the Philadelphia 76ers, the franchise ended a decade-long tenure with Jaylen Brown following a failed trade to the Milwaukee Bucks.

To rebuild the roster, the Celtics have integrated several new players, most notably Paul George. George has seen an immediate impact, recording high shooting percentages in his initial appearances. Other notable additions to the roster include Mitchell Robinson, Mike Conley, and Devin Carter.

The team continues to be led by Jayson Tatum, though the roster's composition has shifted significantly from previous years. Derrick White remains a core component of the team as they attempt to navigate a highly competitive Eastern Conference.
