Boston Celtics focus on depth and leadership during training camp

The Boston Celtics are focusing on roster depth and player development as they prepare for the upcoming season. Following the trade of Jaylen Brown, President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens has restructured the team to prioritize cap efficiency and balanced on-court usage, centering the roster around superstar Jayson Tatum.

Head coach Joe Mazzulla has emphasized the importance of the team's player development staff, led by Craig Luscenat, noting that the organization has been working in the gym for months. The team is currently conducting training camp activities, including a trip to The Citadel in South Carolina. Mazzulla expressed an interest in utilizing the military college environment to study leadership and facilitate team building, marking the first time in ten years the team has taken camp on the road.

The Celtics aim to establish a shared mental model for success as they integrate new players and prepare for their first preseason game on October 8.
