Boston Celtics prepare for NBA season amid reflections from Mazzulla and Tatum

As the Boston Celtics approach their upcoming NBA season, head coach Joe Mazzulla and star player Jayson Tatum have shared reflections during training camp.

Coach Mazzulla expressed a cautious outlook regarding the team's unity, noting that while many teams feel cohesive during the preseason, true character is revealed only when facing adversity, such as losing streaks or media criticism. He emphasized that the team will discover its true identity as the season progresses.

Jayson Tatum, entering his tenth NBA season, reported having a “totally different perspective” following a difficult previous year marked by a ruptured Achilles' tendon. After spending much of the last season sidelined and watching practices from the weight room, Tatum stated he now possesses a deeper appreciation and a “different type of joy” for being part of the game and playing alongside his teammates.
