Boston College athletics report mixed results in hockey and soccer

Boston College saw varied results across its athletic programs recently. In women’s hockey, the No. 15 ranked Eagles secured a 2-1 victory over the University of Vermont at Conte Forum. Despite Vermont tying the game in the third period through a goal by Morgann Skoda, Ava Thomas scored a late go-ahead goal with approximately three minutes remaining in regulation to seal the win for Boston College.

In men’s soccer, Boston College defeated American International College 5-1. Dylan Mafong recorded his first career hat trick, including an early goal in the fifth minute and a successful penalty kick. Alexi Karalis also scored for the Eagles, helping the team secure a decisive win heading into postseason play.
