Boston College football holds first 2026 training camp scrimmage

The Boston College football team conducted its first controlled scrimmage of the 2026 training camp at Alumni Stadium. Head coach Bill O'Brien noted that while the defense performed well, the offensive line struggled with pass protection, citing issues with snap exchanges and handling complex blitz schemes.

On the offensive side, running back Nolan Ray stood out with a significant rushing touchdown, described as a 65 to 70-yard run. Other notable offensive performances included quarterback Mason McKenzie connecting with tight end Brady Clough and wide receiver Jaedn Skeete.

Defensively, safety Marcus Upton recorded a touchdown on a pass return. The practice also featured special teams work, with kickers Luca Lombardo and Jonathan Hewitt successfully converting long field goals.
