Boston College football hosts Maine in Saturday matchup

Boston College football is set to host the Maine Black Bears at Alumni Stadium this Saturday, September 19. The Eagles (1–1) aim to secure back-to-back victories following a recent win over Rutgers, where quarterback Mason McKenzie demonstrated dual-threat capabilities by throwing for 252 yards and rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown.

Maine (1–2) enters the matchup looking to rebound from consecutive losses. The Black Bears' offense has struggled this season, averaging fewer than 13 points per game. Their ground game relies on running backs Rashawn Marshall and Nick Laughlin.

Historically, Boston College has dominated this series, winning the last seven meetings and having not lost to Maine since 1915. On the coaching side, Boston College head coach Bill O’Brien has emphasized playing the most dependable athletes, a strategy that has recently seen reduced playing time for wide receiver Jaedn Skeete.
