Boston leverages cultural events to boost entertainment tourism
Boston is experiencing a surge in cultural and entertainment activity, positioning the city as a major destination for tourism and live events. The tourism organization Meet Boston is leveraging recent high-profile successes to promote the city’s hospitality and entertainment sectors.
Recent highlights include a series of four sold-out shows by singer Noah Kahan at Fenway Park, which helped underscore the city’s growing influence in the live music industry. Other significant cultural drivers this summer have included America 250 celebrations, the return of the Tall Ships, and excitement surrounding the World Cup.
In addition to music, the city continues to host major sporting and entertainment events, such as the upcoming WWE SmackDown at TD Garden on August 14. The event features several championship matches, including Baron Corbin defending the United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes and Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s United States Championship against Jacy Jayne.
