Boston Red Sox receive positive injury updates for key players
The Boston Red Sox are receiving positive injury updates as several key players progress through rehabilitation assignments. Interim manager Chad Tracy indicated that shortstop Trevor Story and outfielder Roman Anthony will continue their rehab stints for a few more days to ensure they can handle the physical demands of daily play before returning to the major league roster.
Story, recovering from a sports hernia, has been playing innings in the minor leagues, while Anthony is working through a sprained right hand. Additionally, infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa is also continuing his rehab process.
On the pitching side, the Red Sox reported progress for Garrett Crochet and Garrett Whitlock. Crochet has advanced to throwing at 90 feet with intensity, while Whitlock has reached 120 feet, potentially moving him closer to a bullpen session.
