Boston Red Sox rally behind Caleb Durbin and target series win over Texas Rangers

Third‑base prospect Caleb Durbin has turned a slow start into a strong finish for the Boston Red Sox. After going hitless until the sixth game of the season and batting just .169 through his first month, Durbin has posted a .341 average since May 28, added two home runs against the Tampa Bay Rays and driven in ten runs. He has also posted elite defensive numbers, tying for second‑most defensive runs saved among major‑league third basemen and ranking near the top in assists and fielding percentage.

The Red Sox are looking to build on Durbin’s resurgence as they chase their first home series win since early April. After a 10‑1 victory over the Texas Rangers on Friday, Boston snapped a four‑game losing streak and improved to 1‑8‑1 in its ten home series this season.
