Boston Red Sox return Jarren Duran to lineup against Diamondbacks

The Boston Red Sox have announced lineup adjustments for their second game of a series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Fenway Park. Following an 11-1 victory in the series opener, manager Chad Tracy is returning Jarren Duran to the starting lineup.

Duran will play left field and bat seventh against Diamondbacks right-hander Merrill Kelly. His return follows a one-game absence on Monday, which was attributed to a matchup-based decision to rest him against left-handed pitching.

The Red Sox lineup for the matchup includes Nick Sogard at second base, Ceddanne Rafaela in center field, Wilyer Abreu in right field, Willson Contreras at first base, Adley Rutschman at catcher, Caleb Durbin at third base, Andruw Monasterio at shortstop, and Mickey Gasper as the designated hitter. Ranger Suárez will start on the mound for Boston.
