Boston Red Sox return Jarren Duran to lineup amid offseason rumors

The Boston Red Sox have announced that outfielder Jarren Duran will return to the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Duran, who has struggled with consistency this season, will bat eighth and play center field while teammates Ceddanne Rafaela and Eli White remain sidelined due to injuries.

Following a 4-2 victory over the Rays on Friday, the Red Sox have improved their season record to 84-70. Duran has appeared in 143 games this year, recording 108 hits and 20 home runs, though his batting average currently stands at .203.

Separately, offseason speculation has emerged regarding the Red Sox potentially pursuing free-agent outfielder Randy Arozarena. Reports suggest that Arozarena, who is expected to leave the Seattle Mariners, may be a target for Boston due to his preference for playing on the East Coast.
