Boston University and Boston College announce hockey captains

Boston University and Boston College have announced their respective ice hockey captains for the 2026-27 season.

For the Boston University women’s team, senior Neely Nicholson has been named captain. She will be supported by assistant captains Greta Henderson and Mari Pietersen. Pietersen becomes the first BU goaltender to serve as an assistant captain since 2025.

On the Boston College men’s team, senior forward Will Vote will serve as captain. He is joined by assistant captains Jake Sondreal and Teddy Stiga. The Eagles are scheduled to begin their season on October 9 against Alaska following exhibition games against Michigan State and the U.S. National Team Development Program.
