Boston Bruins defeat Philadelphia Flyers 5-1

The Boston Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-1, extending the Flyers' winless start to the 2026-27 season to 0-4-2. Fraser Minten led the Bruins with a goal and two assists, while Pavel Zacha, Mason Lohrei, Marat Khusnutdinov, and Casey Mittelstadt also scored. Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman recorded 14 saves in the victory.

The Flyers struggled significantly, being outshot 64-37 and facing a 12-3 shot deficit in the first period. Porter Martone scored the lone goal for Philadelphia on a power play. The loss highlights ongoing issues for Philadelphia, including a roster depleted by injuries to players such as Nikita Grebenkin, who is expected to miss at least four months following back surgery, as well as Travis Konecny, Cam York, and Rasmus Ristolainen.
