Boston's 2026 World Cup stadium and fan hotspots

Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts will be renamed "Boston Stadium" for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 65,000‑seat venue, home to the NFL's New England Patriots and MLS's New England Revolution, was built in 2002 at a cost of about $325 million and completed a $250 million renovation in 2023. A dispute over the $7.8 million security fee for the tournament was settled in March after negotiations between the stadium owner Kraft Sports & Entertainment and the Boston host committee.

In anticipation of the tournament, Boston-area pubs and bars have highlighted themselves as prime locations for watching matches. Notable spots include The Banshee in Dorchester, The Dubliner downtown, Caffè dello Sport in the North End, Parlor Sports in Somerville, Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, Dillon’s in Back Bay, Drawdown Brewing in Jamaica Plain, and LongCross Bar and Kitchen in Medford. Many host official supporter clubs for the U.S. men’s national team, New England Revolution, Liverpool FC, Arsenal, and other international sides, offering large screens, standing‑room crowds, and early‑arrival advice for fans.
