BOSVG and BeFit Movement SVG partner for breast cancer awareness walk

The Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines Ltd. (BOSVG) and BeFit Movement SVG have partnered to host the inaugural ‘Together for a Cure’ Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 17.

The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a Health Fair and Wellness Exhibition at the BOSVG Halifax Street Building in Kingstown, featuring health screenings, expert advice, and wellness resources. The walk will commence at 4 p.m., covering approximately 6.8 kilometres from Halifax Street to Arnos Vale and back. Following the walk, a fitness session will be led by BeFit Movement SVG founder Lindon James.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to local breast cancer support organisations to assist those affected by the disease. Registration is priced at EC$70 per person, with a discounted rate of EC$65 for groups of 10 or more. The initiative addresses a significant regional health concern; the Pan American Health Organization reported that Latin America and the Caribbean see over 220,000 new breast cancer diagnoses and nearly 60,000 deaths annually.
