BOTAŞ initiates land expropriation for gas pipeline projects

BOTAŞ is proceeding with land acquisition and expropriation processes for natural gas pipeline projects in Turkey.

In the Samandağ district, a Presidential Decree has authorized BOTAŞ to perform urgent expropriation for the Samandağ Natural Gas Pipeline Project. This authorization covers not only the main pipeline route but also land required for fixed facilities, transport roads, energy transmission lines, and cathodic protection systems. The legal basis for this action is Article 27 of the Expropriation Law No. 2942.

Additionally, BOTAŞ has issued a public notice regarding expropriation for a natural gas transmission line in the Aydın province, specifically within the Söke district of Akçakonak. Due to the inability to reach certain property owners at their registered addresses, the company is inviting owners or their heirs to apply to the BOTAŞ 1st Region Expropriation Unit in Efeler, Aydın, within 15 days to finalize the transfer of permanent easement rights based on determined values.
