Ahead of a decisive match against Vasco, Telles stated that the squad has had sufficient time under coach Tite to implement his tactical ideas and expectations regarding concentration and playing style, noting that there are ‘no more excuses’ for the players.

The team will face the derby without Álvaro Montoro, who is sidelined due to an ankle sprain sustained in a domestic accident. Telles acknowledged Montoro's productivity but expressed confidence in the squad's depth to fill the vacancy.

Additionally, Telles spoke regarding teammate Danilo, emphasizing the importance of supporting the midfielder's focus and evolution. Telles praised Danilo's character and work ethic, noting that the player's positive mindset is vital for the team's success as they aim to maintain the form shown prior to the World Cup.
