Botafogo interim manager Rodrigo Bellão addressed the team's recent performance following a 1-1 draw against Red Bull Bragantino. Bellão noted that while the team managed to control possession in the offensive field, they struggled with transitions and conceded goals in the first half. He attributed recent errors to player anxiety, particularly after scoring, which led to mistakes and vulnerability to vertical attacks.

Despite a five-game winless streak, Botafogo president João Paulo Magalhães has expressed continued confidence in Bellão. The club reportedly considered foreign coaches but decided against it due to the high risk associated with a lack of familiarity with the Brazilian league and the current squad.
