Botafogo signs Arthur Chaves from Hoffenheim on loan

Several football clubs have finalized player transfers during the recent market window.

Brazilian club Botafogo has signed 25-year-old defender Arthur Chaves on loan from German side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim until 2027. The deal includes a loan fee of approximately 1.5 million euros and a conditional purchase obligation of roughly 6 million euros if specific performance criteria are met. Chaves, who previously played for Avaí and in the Portuguese leagues, aims to provide stability to Botafogo's defense.

In Portugal, Estoril has completed several signings, including Croatian left-back Roko Jurisic and winger Nail Omerović from NK Osijek, both signing until 2029. Estoril also secured French winger Axel Camblané on a three-season contract.

Additionally, Académica has strengthened its squad by signing 21-year-old Spanish right-back Xavi Grande on a contract lasting until 2028. Grande brings experience from the Spanish and Portuguese second divisions, having previously played for Levante UD, Real Oviedo, and Marítimo.
