Botafogo-SP official Fillipe Soutto hospitalized during match

Fillipe Soutto, the football manager for Botafogo-SP and former professional player, was hospitalized after feeling unwell during a Campeonato Brasileiro Série B match against Ponte Preta on Tuesday, September 29.

The incident occurred during the second half of the game. According to Botafogo-SP's press office, Soutto experienced a drop in blood pressure. Following medical examinations that showed no significant abnormalities, he was discharged in the early hours of Wednesday, September 30.

Soutto, 35, retired from professional football in 2025 after playing for clubs including Atlético-MG, Vasco, and Vitória. He has since transitioned into management and has also worked as an actor, portraying Gérson in a Netflix series.
