Botafogo undergoes ownership transition as Gabriel de Alba takes over SAF

Botafogo is undergoing a significant leadership transition following the departure of investor John Textor. Gabriel de Alba, a Mexican executive and founder of GDA Luma, has emerged as the new owner of the club's SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol). While the club has faced a decline in performance, dropping from an average of 1.39 points per match in 2022 to 1.29 in the current season, the transition aims to stabilize the club's administrative and financial situation.

On the pitch, the Botafogo U-20 team recently secured a 4-0 victory against Sampaio Corrêa. Assistant coach Rodrigo Aragonez highlighted the team's ability to maintain technical identity and structure despite changes in the coaching staff, noting that players like Cauã Zappellini, who scored two goals, are benefiting from the club's developmental planning.
