Botafogo defeats Chapecoense 1-0 to secure first win under Tite

Botafogo secured a 1-0 victory against Chapecoense at the Nilton Santos Stadium during the 31st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Tiquinho Soares scored the decisive goal in the sixth minute of the match with a header following a cross from Matheus Martins.

The win marks the first victory for Botafogo under manager Tite, who returned from an automatic suspension. The result moves Botafogo to 12th place with 39 points, providing relief in their effort to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Conversely, Chapecoense remains in last place with 18 points and is considered virtually relegated to Serie B. Despite the narrow scoreline, Botafogo dominated much of the match, recording 20 shots compared to Chapecoense's eight, though the latter's goalkeeper, Anderson, made 11 saves to prevent a larger deficit.
