Botanical and cultural festivals held in São Carlos and Votuporanga

Various cultural and botanical events are taking place in Brazil this weekend, featuring orchid exhibitions and spring celebrations.

In São Carlos, the I Spring Festival of FESC is scheduled for September 19 and 20. The event includes an orchid, flower, and succulent fair alongside musical performances by groups such as the Orquestra de Violas Cancioneiros do Sertão, Banda Calhambeque, and the Orquestra Sinfônica Paulista São Carlos. Additionally, the festival offers health services in partnership with ACUIDAR, providing blood pressure checks, glucose testing, and professional guidance in nursing, gerontology, and physiotherapy.

In Votuporanga, the 27th National Orchid Exhibition is being held at Parque da Cultura from September 18 to 20. Organized by the Associação Votuporanguense de Orquidófilos (AVORQ) and the local government, the event features exhibitors from 20 cities. The program includes plant judging, workshops, gastronomy, and the sale of cultivation supplies. A milk donation campaign is also integrated into the event, where visitors can exchange one liter of milk for a plant seedling.
