BotCity achieves SOC 2 Type 2 security certification

BotCity SOC 2 Type 2 Python automation information security compliance

BotCity, a Brazilian Python automation and governance platform, has announced it has obtained the SOC 2 Type 2 certification. This international security standard is developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The certification report covered the year 2025 and was issued in May 2026. Unlike the Type 1 standard, the Type 2 certification requires independent auditors to verify concrete evidence that internal controls operated effectively and consistently throughout the entire observation period.

This achievement allows BotCity to serve highly regulated sectors, including finance, healthcare, retail, and the public sector, which often require such security documentation as a prerequisite for technology vendors. The framework evaluates five key dimensions: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
