Botev Plovdiv II defeats Neftochimik 2-0 in league opener

Botev Plovdiv II secured a 2-0 victory against Neftochimik in their opening match of the South-Eastern Third League season. The game was held at the Lazur Stadium in Burgas and was attended by Bulgarian Football Union President Georgi Ivanov.

Samuil Tsonov opened the scoring with a header just before the end of the first half. In the second half, Radoslav Karamanov doubled the lead with an individual effort and a diagonal shot. Despite Botev Plovdiv II receiving a red card for a second yellow to Iliya Antonov, they maintained their defensive stability to secure the three points.
