Botev Plovdiv rejects match rescheduling request against Levski Sofia

Botev Plovdiv has officially expressed its disagreement regarding a proposed schedule change for its upcoming First League match against Levski Sofia. The club submitted its position to the Bulgarian Football Union’s Sports-Technical Commission.

The match is currently scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at 21:15 at the Hristo Botev Stadium in Plovdiv. Levski Sofia had requested that the fixture be moved to Sunday at the same time.

Botev Plovdiv stated that it cannot consent to the change because organizational preparations are already underway based on the official program set by the Bulgarian Football Union and television partners. The club noted that a significant number of tickets have already been sold and fans have made personal and professional arrangements around the original date. Additionally, the club cited existing commitments made to external organizations, security structures, and suppliers.
