Botoșani authorities inspect foreign worker compliance

Immigration police, organized crime units, and representatives from the Botoșani Territorial Labor Inspectorate conducted inspections at two commercial companies in Botoșani county on Thursday, September 17. The operations targeted businesses involved in meat processing and vegetable and agricultural product cultivation to ensure compliance with laws regarding the employment and residency of foreign citizens.

During the inspections, which took place at both corporate headquarters and worksites, authorities identified and verified 17 individuals. This group included 8 Romanian citizens and 9 citizens from Nepal, aged between 23 and 35. The control teams concluded that no irregularities were found and no individuals were residing in the country illegally. These actions are part of a series of periodic checks intended to monitor the work and residency status of non-EU citizens.
