Botoșani students achieve 184 distinctions in national competitions

Students from the Botoșani region have achieved significant success in various national and international academic competitions. During the 2025-2026 school year, students earned a total of 184 distinctions, including 12 first prizes, 16 second prizes, and 32 third prizes at national olympiads and contests.

Notable achievements include participation in the National Romanian Language and Literature Olympiad and the National Legal Education Contest. Additionally, the region reported 195 educational projects and various inter-county competitions.

In the field of technology, Marian Ștefan Gășpărel, a student from the ‘Regina Maria’ High School in Dorohoi, has qualified to represent Romania at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad in Kazakhstan. He joins teammates Mateo Andrei Spiridon and Vlad Nicolae Toma to compete in the rapidly evolving technological field.
