Botswana police arrest three suspects in Maun robbery case
Two Zimbabwean nationals, Donald Sibanda and Lyghton Nembaware, have been arrested in Botswana in connection with a robbery in Maun. The suspects, along with a Botswana national named Bonnie Secha, are accused of stealing more than P375,000 in cash and property valued at over P80,000 from three businessmen on June 5, 2026.
According to the Botswana Police Service, Sibanda and Nembaware were already on a wanted list for various other crimes, including robberies, break-ins, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Nembaware had also been declared a prohibited immigrant in Botswana in 2007. All three suspects appeared before the Maun Magistrates’ Court on August 25 and have been remanded in prison pending further investigations.
