Botswana President visits Chow Tai Fook to strengthen diamond trade

During a state visit to China, Botswana President Duma Gideon Boko visited the new Chow Tai Fook Jewellery signature boutique at Beijing SKP. The visit aimed to discuss and strengthen cooperation across the natural diamond value chain between Botswana and China.

As China and Botswana elevate their bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, both nations have agreed to deepen cooperation in the diamond sector. This includes enhancing access for Botswana’s diamond products to the Chinese market.

Chow Tai Fook, which has maintained a long-standing relationship with Botswana’s diamond industry and the De Beers Group, operates its own diamond cutting and polishing factory in Botswana. The Group utilizes its T·MARK brand to provide full traceability from the source to the consumer, supporting the sustainability and transparency of the natural diamond industry.
