Bottega Veneta and La Cuadra launch new architecture prize
Bottega Veneta has announced a partnership with La Cuadra in Mexico to launch ‘The New Architecture Prize’. This annual international award aims to honor individuals who push the boundaries of contemporary architecture and challenge disciplinary conventions.
The prize draws inspiration from the legacy of Luis Barragán, the only Mexican architect to receive the Pritzker Prize. The inaugural ceremony is scheduled for October 9 at La Cuadra, a significant architectural complex in the State of Mexico designed in the late 1960s and currently managed by the Fundación Romero.
While the ceremony will be a private event, it will be broadcast live to a global audience. This partnership marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the Italian fashion house and La Cuadra, which also includes planned activations at Bottega Veneta’s upcoming boutique in Mexico City.
