Botucatu: Non-verbal child found safe after wandering alone

A non-verbal child with characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was found safe in Botucatu, São Paulo. The boy was discovered wandering alone in the Altos da Serra neighborhood. Because he was unable to communicate his address, local authorities and residents conducted a search through the surrounding area until the child recognized his own home.

Upon reaching the residence, authorities found the child's siblings and a teenager. The mother was reportedly working in the nearby city of São Manuel at the time. The Tutelary Council intervened to ensure the children's safety, placing them under the care of their maternal grandmother. A 19-year-old male relative was taken to the police station for further proceedings.
