Bournemouth blocks £75m Arsenal bid for midfielder Alex Scott
Bournemouth have turned down Arsenal's reported £75 million enquiry for 21‑year‑old England under‑21 midfielder Alex Scott, stating the player is not for sale this summer. The club, gearing up for its first European campaign, wants to keep the midfielder as a cornerstone of its project and is working on a new contract that may include a release clause.
Manchester United, having missed out on Mateus Fernandes, have re‑entered the race for Scott, while Liverpool have also been linked with the player. Other Premier League giants – Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal – continue to monitor the situation. Bournemouth have placed a valuation of around £80 million on Scott, making any move dependent on a substantial fee or a change in his contractual terms.
