Bournemouth woman discovers pregnancy hours before giving birth

Sammy Evans, a 41-year-old woman from Bournemouth, discovered she was pregnant only hours before giving birth to a healthy baby boy. After noticing a lump near her ribs, Evans visited a doctor on September 14, suspecting it might be a hernia.

Evans had attributed missed periods to her age, exercise routine, and significant weight loss following gastric band surgery two years prior. While a preliminary pregnancy test appeared negative, a second test showed a positive result.

Shortly after the diagnosis, Evans experienced severe abdominal pains and went to the hospital, where doctors confirmed she was already in labor. She gave birth to a son, Noah, weighing approximately 8 lbs. 1 oz. Her partner, Triston McKend, was in Spain at the time of the birth.
