Bouwstroom Noord partners extend housing collaboration
The Bouwstroom Noord partnership has been extended for an additional three years. This collaboration involves several housing corporations, including Actium, Lefier, Wold & Waard, Woonborg, Woonconcept, and Woonservice, alongside construction firms Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Hengelo and Trebbe.
Following five years of cooperation, the partners aim to improve predictability, continuity, and efficiency in housing production. The group focuses on shared planning and knowledge exchange to address housing market pressures. Previous results from the partnership indicate that projects within Bouwstroom Noord require less staff effort, move faster from initiation to completion, and maintain affordability for smaller-scale developments.
Separately, Dura Vermeer and Blauwhoed have announced the development of phase 1A of the Kan aan de Zaan project. They have acquired land from NPG to construct approximately 310 homes, including both affordable rental and owner-occupied options. This project transforms a former industrial site into a residential area intended to be part of a larger development of roughly 800 homes designed to be largely car-free with integrated green spaces.
