Bouygues Telecom adds Google Gemini AI to b.tv set‑top box

Bouygues Telecom announced that its b.tv set‑top box will receive Google’s Gemini conversational AI, accessible through a dedicated button on the remote control. The integration, rolling out from 8 July 2026, allows users to make natural, context‑aware queries for content recommendations, weather updates, educational explanations, and smart‑home commands without navigating menus.

The feature is part of the long‑standing Bouygues‑Google partnership that began in 2015 with Android TV devices and will be offered to customers on the 5G Box and Bbox TV offers. Bruno Duarte, director of consumer services at Bouygues Telecom, said the launch demonstrates the operator’s commitment to delivering more intuitive and personalized TV experiences.
