Bouygues Telecom launches AI-powered anti-spam service

Bouygues Telecom has launched a new network-level anti-spam service in partnership with Hiya to combat nuisance and fraudulent calls. The service is integrated directly into the provider's 4G/5G mobile network, meaning customers can benefit from the protection without needing to download an application or adjust specific settings.

The solution utilizes AI-assisted algorithms and a massive global database to perform real-time behavioral analysis of incoming calls. It evaluates factors such as the number's creation date, call frequency, and duration to identify potential fraud. This initiative follows the company's previous launch of a Branded Calling solution designed to help users recognize legitimate business callers.

Data indicates that nuisance calls are a significant issue in France, with reports suggesting that 94% of French citizens experienced unwanted solicitations in 2025. The new service aims to increase consumer confidence in answering phone calls by filtering out unwanted numbers while helping professional teams focus on important communications.
