Bouygues Telecom launches cheaper smartphone plan and grants emergency data to fire‑hit customers

Bouygues Telecom has restructured its service ecosystem to pair long‑term contract commitments with subsidised smartphones. The new offers combine bundled tariffs, integrated services, repair and reconditioning options to lower device costs, extend handset lifespans and support its sustainability targets.

In response to the wildfires that devastated parts of Gironde and the Landes, Bouygues Telecom and Orange each pledged 200 GB of mobile data to subscribers residing in evacuated municipalities, adding unlimited calls and SMS. Orange CEO Jérôme Hénique said the gesture aims to “be as close as possible to the needs of our customers.” Free Mobile deployed a temporary high‑capacity mobile station, and Starlink indicated readiness to provide free satellite connectivity pending regulatory approval.
