Bouygues Telecom rolls out 5G box and extends rural 4G coverage in France

Bouygues Telecom introduced a contract‑free 5G box that provides up to 1.1 Gb/s download and 175 Mb/s upload speeds, Wi‑Fi 7, and an optional TV service. The internet‑only plan costs €29.99 per month for the first year, rising to €39.99 thereafter, while the TV bundle is €34.99 initially. A reduced rate of €25.99 per month is offered to customers under 26. The device targets users without fiber access, people in transition between homes, or those in temporary housing.

In parallel, the operator integrated its 4G network across rural France, achieving coverage for 99 % of the population and reaching more than 30 000 communes. The rollout improves signal stability and data rates, supporting teleconsultations, remote education and local commerce. One user noted, “J’ai retrouvé un signal stable chez moi, les appels et la navigation sont devenus fiables.”
