Bovensiepen Spider unveiled as high-performance BMW Z4 successor
The Bovensiepen family, founders of Alpina, has announced the Bovensiepen Spider, a high-performance roadster based on the BMW Z4 M40i. Developed by Andreas Bovensiepen's new company, the project features design collaboration with legendary designer Frank Stephenson.
The Spider features a reinterpreted classic front-engine proportions with a long nose and rear-set cockpit. Under the hood, a modified 3.0-liter inline-six twin-scroll turbo engine produces 429 hp (435 ps) and 580 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.2 seconds. An optional performance package can increase the top speed to 295 km/h.
Production is strictly limited to 99 units worldwide, each featuring a unique production number plate. The vehicle will be available in five exclusive metallic colors, with custom orders also possible. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with a starting price of 115,500 euros in Germany.
