Bowling Green breaks ground on new fire station

The Bowling Green Fire Department held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new fire station located near Carter Park at 447 Campbell Hill Road. The project follows the passage of a 0.15% income tax levy in November 2025, which was intended to fund the construction of two new stations to reduce emergency response times.

Fire Chief Bill Moorman stated that the new facilities will provide essential support to firefighters and enhance the speed and quality of emergency responses for residents. Mayor Mike Aspacher described the ceremony as an important step for the city, noting the tangible progress being made for the community.
