Bowling Green defeats Miami (OH) 24-20 in MAC opener

The Bowling Green Falcons secured their first win of the season with a 24-20 victory over the Miami (OH) RedHawks in their Mid-American Conference (MAC) opener. The game-winning score came from a two-yard touchdown run by Leo Kemp with just seven seconds remaining in the match.

Trailing 17-9 in the fourth quarter, Bowling Green mounted a 75-yard drive to close the gap. Quarterback Jay Kastantin played a pivotal role, completing 25 of 37 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns, including a 64-yard pass to Nakai Amachree.

Miami (OH) responded to the Falcons' momentum with a touchdown, a two-point conversion, and a 28-yard field goal by Kellan McLaughlin to take a late lead. However, the Falcons' final drive was aided by a pass-interference penalty that set up the winning score at the two-yard line. With this win, Bowling Green improves to a 1-4 overall record and 1-0 in the MAC.
