Bowling Green State University names 2026-27 hockey captains

Bowling Green State University head hockey coach Dennis Williams has announced the leadership group for the 2026-27 season. Junior defenseman Breck McKinley has been named captain of the Falcons.

Joining McKinley as assistant captains are Ben Doran, Brody Waters, and Brayden Crampton. This leadership group represents a complete change from the 2025-26 season following the graduation or professional signing of previous leaders.

McKinley, a preseason All-CCHA selection, enters the season as one of only two players on the roster with over 100 career games played. He previously ranked second nationally among defensemen in assists. Ben Doran, a preseason All-CCHA selection, is noted for his defensive capabilities and high faceoff winning percentage.
