Bowral Classic cycling event returns for 10th anniversary

The Bowral Classic cycling event is returning to the Southern Highlands for its 10th anniversary. The gran fondo event, scheduled for Sunday, October 18, is expected to inject more than $3 million into the local economy.

Participants can choose from three different courses: the Maxi Classic, Challenge Classic, or Rouleurs Classic, with distances ranging from 85km to 150km. To celebrate the decade milestone, a prize pool exceeding $9,800 will be awarded to registered riders. High-value prizes include a Cervélo Soloist bike frame and a JetBlack Victory smart trainer, alongside vouchers for local businesses such as MillSheds Distillery and Bar, Lucette Bistro, and Bendooley Estate.

The event village will operate throughout the weekend at Loseby Park, featuring live music, food stalls, and cycling brands. Local officials have noted that the event serves as a significant showcase for the region, attracting thousands of visitors to local cafés, wineries, and businesses.
