Box office reports show strong performance for DC and Anthony Bourdain biopic

The action-crime drama DC, directed by Arun Matheswaran, has demonstrated strong box office performance, reaching a worldwide gross of approximately ₹43.00 crore after four days. The film showed significant resilience on its first Monday, collecting ₹6.30 crore, which was 35% higher than its opening day collections. Notably, the Telugu-dubbed version outperformed the film's home market in Hyderabad, which recorded ₹85 lakhs compared to ₹82.5 lakhs in Chennai.

In the independent film sector, A24’s Anthony Bourdain biopic, directed by Matt Johnson, achieved a successful limited opening. The film grossed $349,000 across six theaters in New York and Los Angeles, yielding a per-screen average of $58,000. Other notable specialty box office performances include the debut of CatVideoFest2026, which earned $586,000 on 255 screens, and Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, which grossed an estimated $251,500 on five screens.
